How marvelous is the month of December!!!

Intervarsity spread the joy of Christmas last weekend by volunteering at the Salvation Army. We helped out in food packing for the poor and homeless people.

It really gave me a 'wake-up' call when I helped out as there is really so many people out there who can't even afford to have a proper meal.

My church did their musical Christmas drama yesterday. It is common for church over here to have their Christmas concert/celebration this early because on Christmas day itself, everyone will be back with their families.

Been reading some of my friends' blogs and most of them are about the political condition in Malaysia. Didn't realize that my home country is really getting that 'tense'. Scary....

Anyway, it is already the month of December!!!

The best part is .. it still haven't snow yet..=)

But I am hoping that it will snow on Christmas Day itself. I would want a white Christmas this year too. It snowed early November last year and everything was so beautiful and scenic during Christmas season. The houses along the road were decorated with lights and ornaments and they can really make you feel the Christmas mood by just looking at them. There are almost a Christmas tree in every house and the symbolic star on every top of the tree really makes you feel so blessed and happy that there IS Christmas.

I really can't wait for Christmas now. I cant wait to sing carols and indulge in a great meal of Christmas food. Not to mention, I miss gift exchange. I did not have any gift exchange last year since I was in Chicago. So, since I will be around here this year, I will MAKE SURE gift exchange will happen among me and my friends..=) The only bad thing that come across my mind is that I will only be done with my finals on December 21st. It is like only 4 days before Christmas. How to have time to shop for christmas gifts ? Besides that, I will have to move out from my room before December 23rd since the dorm will close during winter break. So, one day will be gone for packing. Left 3 days for Christmas shopping? Darnnn Darnn....

The more I write this entry, the more I feel the Christmas feel. I really cant wait for Christmas...

I went to the library just now and plan to study. I ended up checking my emails and half an hour later, I head back to my room.

I tried eating instant noodles with a spoon just now and it was harder than it looked. My room was out of forks ( we use dispoable ones) and I only have spoons with me. It took me longer to finish my meal though I ended up not finishing the whole cup. (yeah, think I felt full but just scooping those noodles)

Neways, homework and assignments are piling up and mid-terms will be coming to greet me again. These stressful stuffs are really tiring and they make me keep asking where is the full-stop. When I happily finished my assignments and handed in before the class, the professor will end the class with "Please do the end chapter problems and hand them in the next class". HeLLooo, we just handed in your assignments and now you are giving us homework!!! The professors really think that we have additional hour out of the 24 hours in a day.

Yeah,I will not be in hyper mood although it is the weekend. Will be spending quality time with my books....

Jaclynn and I completed the 40 days of prayer and fasting that our church organized last month. Not that I want to boast to the whole wide world that me and she fasted, but just feel like writing here what I really learn and went through during this period. This is because I felt so good after the whole fasting thing and I think the experience for this time is really different from the past ones. I am not sure about Jaclynn though. Maybe I should tagg her about this. (Jaclynn, you got homework at your blog now).. =)

The statement by Charles Spurgeon is really true. When we earnestly seek God and meditate on His word, you will never fail to taste the greatness of Him.

Very often, we think that when God is silence, He is not there or He is ignoring us, He is rejecting us or has forgotten about us. Sometimes, we complained that He is not hearing our prayers and our prayers seems to bounced back to us when we pray.

However,I learn that the true interpretations of God's silence is that God wants us to have an utimately deep relationship with him. His silence is a way for us to reconnect with Him and it is a time to mould our understanding towards Him. It is a time of reflective and at the same time, being patience and persistence towards God.

I myself often get frustated and angry when I interpreted God's silent as God is ignoring me. I will ended up questioning about His presence, His ways, His mighty power. But, after knowing this, I finally acknowledge the importance of God's silence. He is there, He is listening, just that I am not willing to listen from Him and be patience with Him. It is just me being adamant about my prayer lists over the need of finding understanding in Him.

God's silence is so precious to us. We should not take it for granted and be so ignorant to it.

My roommate and I did something sinful today....

We went SHOPPPPPPPINGGGGG!!!!

originally, we wanted to drag Jaclynn with us but she has better self control then both of us, thus, we went without her..

Anyway, we spent and spent. We never FAIL to swipe our cards in every single store that we went!!! Imagine that!!! I really surprise myself when I think about it now!!!! We both went like "This is so nice.. Way so cheap...Eh.. 70% leh..". We ended up carrying so many bags that we teased each other on how shopacholics we are.

And I dun think I want to write down here how much I spent.

Anyhow, today is Saturday and it is weekend !!! Yea!!!!!!!!!!

I just love today's weather. It is sunny and windy all day long and I get to see the sun for the whole day... isn't it amazing ??? It has been gloomy and quite cold for the past few days and it feels so great to just walk around. I just love today's weather!!!
Oh yah, see that pic I posted up there? I took it because the sky is so unsual that day . It is like heaven is right there.. shining all its way out ...... how beautiful it is!!!
